Forest City is in Rutherford County. Originally called Burnt Chimney from 1877-1887, changed to Forest City in 1887.
Forest City is a lovely small town. The town has planters of flowers and trees down the center of Main Street and trees along the sidewalks. The lights with the hanging baskets and the fountain in the center of Main street is charming.

The town has a classic car show in August with hundreds of cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Rutherford County Farm Museum – a lot of old farm equipment, the gentleman was very knowledgeable about the equipment. 240 Depot St
