Lakemont and Tiger, Georgia

Lakemont –  I really liked Lakemont, from the old trucks, murals painted on the buildings, to the stores in the historic buildings. A few buildings have plaques with the history.

Continue North on Old Hwy 441 till you get to Tiger Mountain Vineyard. 2592 Old Hwy 441 South, Tiger

Tiger – There are two popular legends as to how Tiger got its name. The first is that it was named after a Cherokee chief named Tiger Tail. The second (and more likely) story is that the name came from the cry of roaming panthers
