Country Kitchen is inside the Country Store Callaway Gardens – great view from the restaurant at the back of the stone building. The store is in the front, they have Candy, Home Décor, Wine, etc. We had breakfast and it was good. 16275 U.S. 27.
Hamilton was Incorporated in 1828, Hamilton is the county seat of Harris County. The city was named for U.S. Secretary of the Navy and Governor of South Carolina, Paul Hamilton (1762-1816). The courthouse is in Hamilton.
The town square is a park with a gazebo and benches. A historic marker in the town square commemorates the life and legacy of renowned shape note-singer and songwriter B.F. White. There is also a statue honoring the confederate dead.
The buildings of the town face the town square. Some of the buildings are empty. There is a Barbershop, Boutique and EatZ Grill. The rest are utilities, lawyers, etc. U.S. 27 is the main route through town.

Cataula is unincorporated. The town is 95 miles from Atlanta. The town’s namesake is thought to originate from a Creek Indian word which means either Big Rock or Dead Mulberry.
A historical marker is at U.S. 27 and Ga 315. The marker is of Kingsboro & Cataula at Kingsboro 3 mi. S. Ga’s first narrow gauge railroad chartered in 1870 ended in 1873.
